Cascade College needs your help.
Hello:
If you haven’t heard the news, Oklahoma Christian University announced yesterday that it would be closing Cascade College, its branch campus in Portland.
I attended Cascade, as well as Columbia Christian Schools. Cascade is a very important hub of activity for Churches of Christ in the Pacific Northwest, and it does much to develop future leaders for our churches. Its loss will effect every congregation in Oregon and the Northwest.
I ask that you will keep Cascade College in your prayers, and if you can, take action to let OCU known that their action is unacceptable. Finally, if you have the opportunity, let others know at Colleges and Universities like Pepperdine, Abeline, Lipscomb and Rochester that God is putting an opportunity to help in their laps.

Hello:
The comments on Bobby’s blog on Stupid Wars reminded me of this very stupid sound clip from the James Dobson family minute. Enjoy.

Economic Volatility
Hello:
One of the theories that Niall Ferguson advances in his book War of the World, is that conflict in the 20th Century can be directly corelated to economic volatility. Nations and regions with less economic volatility experienced less conflict, and Nations and regions with more economic volatility were more likely to make war.
America, and much of the world, is currently experiencing a major upswing of economic volatility. True, its been short so far, but it makes one wonder whether the economic volatility we are experiencing may lead to yet more conflict. It might just be between political parties, or maybe the world.
